Friday 55.....#4

(the gate)

Open the gate.
Close the gate.
Ride in the middle
And you'll be safe....
it's late.
Open the gate.
Secure the gate.
If it's a good day,
we won't be late.
You know it's your turn
so please
just open your gates.
I'll be there this time.
Just open your eyes
Give us more time.

I THINK NOT!

I have been using the Internet for many years now and have been a blogger for oh, lets just say three and a half years.

Below you will find an email that I received a couple of days ago that left me staring at my monitor, jaw dropped, head tilted to the right, my eyes and forehead squinted in that
WTF?
expression.

I am posting this because I hope you get a giggle out of it just as I
FINALLY
did.

I have NOT clicked on any of these links, as I am sure that if I do, it will lead me to some huge virus depot, forcing me to attempt hurling my keyboard into space!
So, enter them at your own risk if you choose to do so.

I am not interested in a future situation where upon late at night I look out my window to see HUGE BEAMING lights descending into a landing position in my backyard.

I can just hear them now, whispering loudly over the roar of their mother ship,
"Oh, Liquid..................Oh, Liquid..............Come out from under your bed! We know you are blogging! Upon our approach we were reading you!..............Oh, Liquid....................come out and play with us!"

Oh, HELL NO!
I have NO desire to communicate with, nor entertain little people with flat faces, no noses and slits for there mouths!
I don't care to send forward
ANYTHING
with my thumbprint on it.

NOPE!

They are NOT invited to my house!!
Just NO, and thank you,
Mr. Arthur Stubbs.
And I mean that with the sincerest respect
I am capable of conjuring up regarding this matter.

About the photo above:
This illustration compares the size of the newfound Neptune-size planets to the sizes of Earth and Jupiter. The new planets are only about 20 times the mass of Earth — much smaller than the majority of Jupiter-size extrasolar planets detected so far. Astronomers don't know if the new planets are rocky or gaseous, but a rocky planet (pink) would have a smaller diameter than a gaseous one (blue) of the same mass. (Image courtesy NASA)
The new planets, though approaching the Earth in size, are still far from Earth-like. Both whip around their stars in a few days and are so close as to be roasting on the side facing the star. Because each planet is so close to its star, its rotation is no doubt locked into its orbital period, so that it always presents the same face to the star, Marcy said.

Friday Flash 55....#4

" .....She opens her eyes to welcome the dawn,
for what,
she knows not,
today.
Crawling desperatly out of the bed
she runs her hands through her silky pink hair.
Looks down to see it gripped in her hand.
Eases to the mirror and drops her gown.
Sees a breast
and hopes for a
better day."

When The Clouds Turn Pink.....

I contemplate
The power of
BLUE
The poison I've swallowed.
The intensity of the moment.
The fruit
Is painfully beautiful.
I simply could not resist.
Now,
I am ready for sleep.
Please wake me when the clouds turn
PINK
Hopefully,
Then
I will be healed.
Inside and out
By the person
I was supposed to be.
If I do not find sleep,
Nail my knees to the floor.
Make me look into the sky.
Please help me see
What my mortal soul
Could not understand.
And then,
Please again,
Clean my wounds.
Hug me.
Even if I resist you.
And I will.
Give me permission
To let the tears fall from my eyes.
Allow me to be humble
And to feel vulnerable.
Then,
Drift with me to the moon.
Sit with me on it's edge
As our legs dangle over it ledge.
Let's together chase the shooting stars
In the middle of the night and just before morn'.
Catch them.
Release them.
As they too
Begin to weep.
Your balance adrift has become
My favorite drug.
I'm dizzy swept in your evasive love.
Find me a rainbow.
Show me what's really there.
At it's beginning.
At it's end.
Take me out
To play in the rain.
Help me to appreciate the sunlight.
Please, prevent me from crawling back into my shadowy "self".
You,
Again, take me for a walk.
Deep within our woods.
Pick me a wildflower.
Place it behind my ear.
And then when I yawn sleepily,
Sing me a lullaby.
I love the way you mourn.
Sweetly.
Rest here.
Beside me.
Embrace the moments we call peace.
Sleep.
Softly....Cause I need you to wake me
When the clouds turn

Friday Flash 55....#3

Here, fishy-fishy.
I see your tail
a swishy-swishin'!
Come to the top
so I can pop
your little fin.
I'll scale you good
and cut off your head.
Drop you in oil
and watch you boil.
Then scoop you out
without a doubt
and devour you
with my delicate mouth,
crunching your tail!

a Rehab Survivor....

I must add, this fella did NOT coin out from C.O.P.A.C.

You Are Arson

No doubt about it, you have a serious destructive streak. You can't help it!

Sometimes you just get so frustrated with the world, and you have to let your aggression out

You have a notoriously bad temper. You are obsessed with getting your revenge.

You are obviously a pyromaniac, whether you realize it or not. It feels great to watch something burn.

What Your Socks Say About You

You are:

- Very vivacious

- A little bit fancy

- Known as remarkable

- Secretly wild

Smiley-Miley Cinnamon Toast....

Yeah,
we get a bit silly around here when it comes to breakfast!
We added food coloring to our cinnamon and sugar mixture and made our own little smiley-miley cinnamon toast.
It's fun on a Saturday morning when you've got time to play in the kitchen.
Although, hair is NOT edible!
I borrowed it from an old doll who was in pretty bad shape.

Ode To My Friend.....

When I think of the dark days in our pasts'
In my mind I color them black.

When I think of the days ahead of us,
They appear to me as the many shades of bright,
White light.

When I do not hear from you,
Well, my soul simply goes flat.
I miss you my wonder.
I miss you my friend.
I miss your talent beloved one,
and that will never, ever end.

But together
Through the lives and the loves
our friendship we'll never spend.

Let me know you are safe
dearest one.
Please.
Much and always
With true honor and respect.

Love,
Me

The Pink Weenie.....

There will be NO photograph with this post.

Sorry!

A couple was attending an art exhibition at a National Gallery and they were staring at a portrait that had them completely confused.

The painting depicted three very black and totally naked men sitting on a park bench.

Two of the figures had black weenies, but the one in the middle had a pink weenie.

The curator of the gallery realized that they were having trouble interpreting the painting and offered his assessment.

He went on for nearly half an hour explaining how it depicted the sexual emasculation of African-Americans in a predominately white, patriarchal society.

'In fact,' he pointed out, 'some serious critics believe that the pink weenie also reflects the cultural and sociological oppression experienced by gay men in contemporary society.'

After the curator left, a young man in a Kentucky T-shirt approached the couple and said, 'Would you like to know what the painting is really about?'

'Now why would you claim to be more of an expert than the curator of the gallery?' asked the couple.

'Because I'm the guy who painted it,' he replied.

'In fact, there are no African-Americans depicted at all.

They're just three Kentucky coal miners,

and the guy in the middle went home for lunch.'

Friday Flash 55.....

I wonder why I wonder.
I wonder why I think.
I wonder why I feel.
Has anyone seen my feet?

I think I remember.
If only I wouldn't forget.
Oh, where I left my wonder,
And where I left my gift.
If you happen to find them.
Please tell them
Not to regret.

Thank you.

.....Oh Dear Lord....

I suppose this is where I admit to myself
and to anyone willing to read this
that I am in the midst of a mid-life challenge.

I spent the entire day, today, out pounding
the four streets in this little town,
looking for a job.
A regular job, that is.

Yes, I have a college education and a cosmetology license.
I also have a photography business that feeds my family, as well.

I am an artist,
And I guess you might say,
an overwhelmed, most of the time artist,
more than a few creative levels.
Ouch.

English major, hairdresser and photographer.

Put 'em all in a blender and what do you get twenty years later?
A bi-polar, whimsical woman, wishing to be a bit more NORMAL.
{{{Although, NORMAL freaks me the fuck out}}}}

Frenziedly seeking a job where she clocks in,
clocks out and goes home
with sugar infested dreams of
"that"
paycheck
on Friday.

Is that so totally difficult?
{{{Yep........it is!!}}}

*

And hey,
"Kuddos"
to any of you out there who are seeking employment
in today's job market.
Especially,
TODAY!

.....Geeze.....

I am more exhausted from driving around from Temp Agency to Temp Agency,
looking for some type of clerical work that will simply get me out of this house, give me some menial form of guaranteed income, reguardless the lack of amount,
that just might possibly be available,
in this state of mine,
Mississippi!

I do, however, draw the line the industrial job
available in the steel industry
that I was told I was
"OVER QUALIFIED"
for,
within the first 2 minutes of my handing over my resume
to the Temp service advisor.
(Didn't I design your hair for 8 years?)

Help me find relatively easier job anyway, hon'.
Do I look like a welder?

Again,

Oh Dear Lord.

I am exhausted from day one.
Anyone need a part-time housekeeper?
At this moment I am WILLING to travel!

*

Have a great day and kiss
your boss
on the cheek today
...from me!

Friday Flash 55.....

When I was just a girl, I used to have so much fun. Taking long walks down to the creek. Kicking rocks as I slowly walked, gatherd a few to make turtles jump. Skipping and hopping, swooshing and popping, would be these various stones I took. My, how I miss the days that are gone
