You know...
this is a statement that you don't really hear that often
but its truth has been told over and over throughout centuries now.
I took this photo at a friend's house....oh....a couple of years ago.
(Yes, I photographed this in the guest bathroom and no,
I am not dangerous! Am I?)
I remember vividly the situation at hand just outside the door.
I won't go into all that but
I most remember walking in and seeing this beautiful reminder
and took note of it's simplistic display.
On a bathroom lavatory.
Hmmmmmm, I obviously thought.
So, I snapped this photo and edited it a bit.

Well today, while at work, I was upstairs at "Around The Corner"
moving boxes about in a tad bit of a "frenzy".
And as some of you are aware,
I haven't been as focused as usual and I think my lack of navigation skill
may have been due to this fact.

When all of a sudden, I took a step backwards and realized I had backed too close to the stairway.
And "geeeeeeeeezeuuuuzannne",
I had backed over it's edge
when I'd let go of the box flaps and stood upright.
Note that now my left foot was airborne and aimed
directly over step number three,
going DOWN.
I was moving backward as my back arched slightly
and I remember thinking...
"Um, this is going to hurt...."

You see, this is where Suzanne plummets backward down 22 old, inverted, wooden stairs that angle directly down into a cement wall, that now gives new meaning to DEAD END.
An abrupt left and then you are
through the doorway
and now in the gift wrapping area,
"Around The Corner"!

Yeah, um, this is going to hurt.....

My arms had just begun their backward circular motion when,
and I mean to the point that,
I felt myself repelled forward, onto my knees.
Back up onto the wooden planked floor.
This change in motion caught more than my attention.
There I stayed, on my hands and knees, as I processed what had just happened.
I know for a fact that nothing I did prevented me from falling backward
down those steps,
It was if I had been stopped....
and pushed back, forward,
by an invisible hand.

I had been.

As I stayed there, on my hands and my knees I felt dizzy.
I melted into the moment with the surest of knowing.....
knowing exactly what had just happened to me.
ME, of all people!

Something welled up inside of me and I broke down crying
and the emotion is still with me because
I am softly, yet joyfully, weeping as I type this.
So, yes, I have thought of this photograph for most of the day
and sharing both it
and this miraculous moment with you because....
We all need to be reassured that no matter what we are going through,
no matter how ALONE we may feel,

There ARE angel's among us!

I am in awe -- and so very thankful that one came to you right when you need it --- as I see you as an angel.

I believe!

There are times that we have these moments to realize just how good God really is. God showed you His love by His protection. Don't even ask me to explain it. Like Amias, I too, am in awe.
