Dead Sea
It is amazing to learn that the Dead Sea is dying.

At this time it is disappearing at three feet a year.

It was called the Salt Sea in the bible.

Modern man says it is in the place where Lot`s wife turned her head back to look at a city when she was warned that if she did...she would be turned into a pillar of salt.

The Dead Sea is known for it`s healing properties when people bath in it. Queen Sheba was the first to speak of the healing powers.

People from all over the world come to get some of the minerals from the Dead Sea and hope to receive blessings from the power of the healing Water.

Could this be some sort of new message to mankind from Mother Nature as we human`s work so hard at destroying ourselves.

The pleasures of today can be costly tomorrow.

Sometimes, we do not appreciate when we are blessed and then we do not understand what has happened when we lose that blessing.

I know that I have been guilty many times for taking my blessings for granted and neglecting to acknowledge their value in my life.

I also neglect my own value.

I am thankful that I have been blessed in my short span on the planet Earth,...and I hope in my travels, I have blessed others in some small way.

Time is of the essence.

"BRIERPATCH" ~

My tribute to the life that lingers within them...

Taken in the Mississippi Delta....peeking into life on the other side of the fence...some briars, I think I was squatting in them....ouch!

Old door coverd in briars...

Old tree in briars...

Barbed wire, a barn and briars between....

Scarecrow amongst briars....

And agian....

Briars growing over a bridge made of railroad tracks....

Sticks n' briars....

Dam Beavers....blocked me from these briars...

Disco briars...I acutually got stuck in these...

Field of briars from a distance...

Seemingly, a painting of briars...

Field of briars....

Warmish with blue sky...

And last, but not least....

Tribute To Eighteen Wheels~

The photos below are from my journey out west on a "Big Rig" delivering close to 50,000 lbs of cattle to a feed lot ranch in Dalhart, Texas. I must add that it was an incredible experience and I now have a new respect for truck drivers and the loads they carry! So next time you're on the interstate and you pass an eighteen wheeler, simply consider the fact that behind you, in front of you, both coming and going, there exsist a world beyond most comprehension. A ring of friendships, reputations, language, devotion and determination. Give a "honk" and a friendly wave to them. It certianly does help break up the monotomny of forever foreward!
Hats off to all you "Drivers". I'll be giving a double HONK and a pull of my arm upward/downward. I do so love the sound of a Big Rigs' horn! Wink!
